Walks in the Peak District and Midlands Padley
This is an excellent route in the Regional Park of the Cuenca Alta de Manzanares that leads to a small waterfall of Covacho, a recommended option in spring, fall, and winter since, in summer, this waterfall is usually dry. It is an excellent trail to disconnect and hike in a beautiful natural environment. There is hardly any shade along the route, so it is recommended to bring a hat, water.

Cross here and follow the path heading upwards with Burbage Brook on your right, with lots of mini waterfalls on the route up. Continue all the way until you reach another footbridge (don't cross) but instead take the single track path on your left.

Padley Gorge is located in the Peak District between the village of Gindleford and the A6187 road. This deep and narrow valley is only o.5 miles from Longshaw Estate, which is a National Trust site. Padley Gorge starts at Grindleford Train Station and technically finishes at the woodland borders.

January 3, 2023 Some Peak District walks are made for sunny days and sunny days only. Which, can feel hard to come by in this part of the world - especially between October and April! Luckily, this Padley Gorge walk - via Millstone Edge (Surprise View), Owler Tor and Mother Cap - can be enjoyed all year round, no matter the weather.
